When I was 7 years old, my favorite aunt would let her daughter and I play two video games on her computer. The two games were a Barbie dollhouse game and Doom.
I still laugh about that to this day. Did she know how extremely not-age-appropriate Doom was? Did she perfectly know but loved watching us fail to get past the first level because we were not skilled at first-person shooters?
I’ll never know, but when I created this beat for class, I thought this sounded like the kind of song that would play in the background of one of those dark Doom hallways.
